March Against Myths is a non-profit, pro-science activist group. Their purpose is to bring like-minded individuals together to stand up and speak out directly against anti-science forces, particularly in the areas of agriculture and biological science.
As an ardent supporter of science myself, I was pleased to help out when they came to me looking to spruce up their website not only aesthetically, but to add missing functionality to support their mission. This functionality included sign-up pages, chapter destinations, search functionality, map resources, and the ability to react to events in real time.
Working closely with their art director, we were quickly able to set a color scheme, layout, and menu organization that made the web page useful as well as pretty. Our success inspired new work on their sister site, GMO Voices.
In addition to the usual web design, setup, and management, I also offered my services as an event photographer - both to add to the website content and to assist them in future marketing. Those images can be seen in my Flickr albums.
